Financial Sacrifice
Whenever God showers a people or a community with His favour and His grace, he invariably requires some sacrifice from them. In other words, sacrifice is essential if one wants to gain the nearness of Allah and His pleasure. God Almighty says in the Holy Quran: "You cannot attain to righteousness unless you spend out of that which you love; and whatever you spend, Allah surely knows it well." (3:93)
Explaining the blessings of spending ones wealth in the way of Allah the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw said:
The Promised Messiahas also highlighted the importance of financial sacrifices in this day and age. He said:
Beloved Huzur, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah be his helper, desires that new ahmadis take part in financial sacrifices from the very beginning so that as a result there faith gets strengthened. In this regard Beloved Huzur (aba) said:

The New Dedication (Waqfe Jadid)
Allah Almighty has emphasised in the Holy Qur’an that every Muslim should make financial sacrifices. Hence there are several financial sacrifice schemes in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community known as “Chanda” for the propagation of Islam. Before taking a big step new ahmadi brothers and sisters are encouraged to participate in a blessed scheme named “Waqfe Jadid” (The New Dedication). Beloved Huzur, may Allah be his helper, said in his Friday Sermon of January 9, 2004: .

Blessings of financial sacrifices - Accounts of new ahmadis
The community that the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) created, re-established standards of sacrifices as where seen in the companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) spoke with reference to this many times. He once said: 'I see hundreds in our Jama'at who can scarcely afford to clothe themselves and can scarcely afford to have one outfit. They do not have any property but their boundless sincerity, devotion, love and loyalty causes amazement and astonishment.'
